State Secrets Found in Capitol Burger

Workers at a D.C. restaurant got a shock when they cleared away a meal only to find top secret documents.

Sen. Lowe (HI) had been enjoying a meal at the Grill of America near the Capitol with two of his aides. After they left, the restaurant staff found they had left behind more than a tip. Underneath one of the plates was a single piece of paper marked ‘classified’. The document originated from a briefing Sen. Lowe had received in his role as a member of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.

The staff at the restaurant immediately contacted the authorities when they realized what it was. The documents were recovered by Federal staff. Their contents have not been disclosed.

Michael Brewer, the manager of the restaurant, was quoted as saying, “We found the document and knew it was something we weren’t meant to be seeing, so we called the feds immediately. We never considered selling it to a foreign government. Not even for a second. Honestly.”

Sen. Lowe’s office declined to comment on the incident but stated that the burgers at Grill of America were delicious.
