Widows Rejoice After Vote

Bill S.903061 has passed through the senate today.

The bill, allowing a widow or widower to – if they choose – officially take over their recently deceased partner’s job, passed through the senate with an overwhelming majority. Even if the widow or widower does not meet the minimum job requirement for the role, the company must hire them to do the same job for the same pay that their recently deceased partner was performing.

Recently widowed Sen. Franco (I-FL) had this to say about the bill passing – “I’m delighted that this bill has made it through after I personally campaigned on this issue. I will now be resigning my seat in the Senate and taking over my – sadly deceased – wife’s job at REDACTED in Cupertino. Sayonara suckers.”

The bill had complete support from the surprisingly large amount of widowed senators who currently sit in the Senate.

Another unnamed senator said “It seems to make sense, it allows the widow or widower to continue to support their family and it also saves the company the hassle of having to replace the dead employee. Also I really dislike Senator Franco so I’m very pleased he’s leaving the Senate. To be honest I’ve never really trusted him since his wife disappeared in mysterious circumstances.”

However, the American College of Surgeons released a statement saying, “In our profession, this will obviously lead to many people dying.”
